I sent my son's teacher a $25 Amazon card for Christmas, and in the past have made a donation to the education foundation in her name.

He is ODD, and a terror. The principals get a list of those who have money donated in their names, so it looks good professionally. Also, the teachers who have money donated regularly get favorable treatment when the apply for grants. That is "unofficial" but has been confirmed in our district to be true.
