Re: Is PBS addictive for preschoolers?
When we switched to start allowing DS to watch a few cartoons as we were desperately packing for a huge move out of the country, I watched a kid who also adored Top Gear, Mythbusters and other shows like this to being so into cartoons. He had watched Yo Gabba Gabba and a few other shows but suddenly once he found a cartoon show that really engaged him he dumped the real life people shows all together, even favorites. I think his tastes just changed. He wanted tons at first, but eventually he started asking for less to do more playing and things. It is a new novel thing to have these shows that really are aimed at him. My DS is just now back to watching shows with real people with out whining.
