I know right? It is my favorite movie. I used to watch it all night long when I was pregnant and couldn't sleep, just restart it every time I woke back up.

So for anyone who is interested we are using a very altered version of AO now and really enjoying it. I am using year 3 for my SN 6th grader and combining parts of it for my 2nd grader. We aren't using all of it and we had to change a lot of it. I didn't like the overtly religious books and took them out, we added some extras and decided to do our own thing with science.

So essentially we are doing
LOF fractions for math
copy work
narration
journaling
Scott Foresman grammar
Kingfisher Encyclopedia of World History (started out with CHOW but hated it) Horrible Histories and Biographies
Mr Q Science
Great Composers and Learning Recorder
Great Masters and painting
Nature Study
Suggested reading from AO year three
Greek Myths, Norse Myths
Poetry

We were doing Shakespeare plays but the kids weren't following them so we are sticking to sonets

For my 2nd grader we are combining history and science/nature study but we are also doing
Math to Learn with Teacher Resource manual and manipulatives
Starfall (for fun)
Funnix 2 comprehension
copy work
Fairy Tales/Folk Tales
