Eh, you know...I didn't do a single bit of research or anything.

I had a bunch of stuff made already, and fabric in my fabric stash....so I just took some pics and did it. I have sold about 8 items in about 8 months (two were off line sales-one at a garage sale and one through word of mouth.) But, I haven't spent anything that I didn't already have, don't buy anything new unless I have made a sale, and IMO, have done reasonably well.

The thing with etsy is, it costs VERY little to list something, and then there's no other fees until you sell something. And you don't really have to do much to get people to your shop. So the most time you spend is in actually creating the items, and if you are going to be doing it anyway, might as well get SOME return, right?
