Oh another thing dh and I loved before I had to go gluten and dairy free was cinnamon toast. You just take bread, top it with butter (you can just slice a little and lay it on top or spread it on, doesn't matter really) then dust on some brown sugar, cinnamon and if you feel like it ginger or pumpkin pie spice ect. Really the brown sugar and cinnamon are all that are necessary for the recipe. Pop in the oven at about 350 until it is toasted and melty. It isn't over sweet but it really hits the spot.
