Re: Planning a natural childbirth

EPO will not induce your labor. It softens your cervix, which can lead to thinning and so forth. I began taking it at 37 weeks orally and vaginally, and didn't have my son unitl 42 weeks! (But when he came, he came FAST!) If you're concered about having him too quickly, wouldn't taking EPO just make it faster? Are you far from the hospital? We were 40 minutes from the birthing center and my contractions were a minute apart when we left the house! And then I kept giving him bad directions (we had only been there twice!). We made it though and 2 hours later he was born! I think getting in the birth pool and relaxing helped.
