Your doc should be able to help you. I don't know what area you're in but here in NC we have a program called Parents as Teachers. Its a non profit organization that serves kids birth through 5. They come to your home once a month and spend an hour with you and your child. They bring age appropriate toys and interact with your child to see if they are on the developmental level they should be at. If they suspect any delays they can make referals to different doc so your child can be seen. The hospital usually tells you about the program when you have your baby. If they didn't tell you about it maybe you can look in the phone book to see if you have one in your area. And don't worry... all the staff are mothers that have at least a four year degree and at least one child that has some delays so they can relate better to you. HTH
