Yep, it is necessary for people whose children do not have a life sentence, basically, to see that pooh-poohing it to people whose children DO have a life sentence to see how callous they are being.

It always shocks me how cold people with "normal" children can be about trying to put the rest of us in our place. (BTW, ADHD is treatable with one little pill. Not all parents want to do that...but it is there. It exists. There IS no pill for autism. And yes, I do know whereof I speak...my former stepson had ADHD.)
