This is such a comforting thread for me! Dd is only 9 mo but weighs 16.5 lbs and 26". Not super teeny but my ds was taller and heavier (more like 21 lbs) at this age. Plus, at church we had a baby boom of girls born last October and they are HUGE! Most of them aren't moving around much while dd has recently taken her first steps. I figure must be easier without all that extra chub to heft around (aw, but nothing to grab! )

I'm wondering for those of you who had tiny babies that shot up, did genetics play a factor? My dh and I are pretty short, I don't know how much hope there is for our kiddos. Ds is still the shortest kid in his pre-k.
