I've unfortunately never been able to have a home birth so I've learned my have to haves quickly LOL I'm always in labor for more than 12 hours,except for the emergency c section But, here's my list of ideas:

Boppy, super great for a pillow during labor~
slippers
ICE~ I know they'll have it at the hospital, but make sure someone keeps your cup stocked, I had terrible nausea and that was all I wanted.
Nice baby blanket if it's cold
of course the adorable take home outfit for baby and you
sling/pouch I love mine to nurse in I never even use the boppy after the baby is born!! LOL well I use it for my pillow
