Re: EC books / websites to recommend?
"Diaper Free" by Ingrid Bauer
I really don't think 10 months is too late, but it's also important not to expect them to "perform" right away. I borrowed this book from a dear friend was DD was about 6 weeks old, and at the time I thought it was a pretty crazy idea. I read the book and decided to try it, and I was so excited the first time she actually used the toilet!
But it was shortlived because DH went offshore and stayed gone for about 2 months, and I just couldn't keep up with everything. DD is 17 m.o. now and her Mother's Day Out teacher recently pointed out that she goes into the corner by herself when she needs to poop. I've also started asking her if she needs to go, and she'll say "poo" or "pee" and grab at her diaper. She knows! So even if you don't get your DC to start using the potty early, the early awareness of the need to go will be a boon to potty learning later.
