I don't microwave my baby food, I heat it in warm water like I do breastmilk. By microwaving it you kill a lot of the nutrients you save by making your own food.

Once a baby is used to home-made food I would not recomend commercial foods. I gave my DD some jarred food while we were away for the weekend and it made her so sick. I highly recomend the easy smush stuff everyone else recomended.

I freeze mine in ice cube trays also, I think they measure out to about an ounce each cube. Then I pop them out of there and store them in ziplock freezer bags.

Making baby food is A LOT easier than people think, and so much healthier! Good job making that choice!
