My Mood:
I'm not ready, but she seems to be self-weaning - Could it be?

So DD has been EBF since birth and never has taken to a bottle or anything. She's 12 months now and has never taken milk from a bottle. She actually had some tongue issues (amazingly, not while latching, but while trying to suck a bottle or sippy and eat from a spoon) so we have been under the care of a dysphagia specialist to get her eating well. Well, she graduated from that about 6 weeks ago and she eats well from the spoon and feeds herself table food and she will occasionally take liquids from an open cup. We just bypassed bottles and sippies for her.

ANYWHO, up until this week she was nursing 4-5 times a day and IMO getting most of her nutrition from breastmilk. Well, suddenly this week she doesn't want to nurse but about 5 minutes and then she wants to talk and giggle and get down and play. I pumped some milk and put it in a cup, and she drank that pretty well. I wasn't really ready to give up bfing yet, but I'm wondering if she is. Any ideas or thoughts?
