Re: OB/GYN gender

Except for the female Gyn I first saw at Planned Parenthood, and the midwife I saw for the first half of my pregnancy with DS, every OB/Gyn I've had since has been male... that includes perinatologists. It doesn't bother me, honestly. It's not a sexual realtionship afterall, so for me, it's no stranger to be examined by a man than it is to be examined by a woman, KWIM? I've found my Dr's to be kind, gentle, and compassionate... and I really think that comes down to the indivual Dr, not necessary gender.
