i am not sure on pp absorbancy yet, i am still looking up on that one, i am making my first ones in the next week or two for me but won't test them out till feb!! i have made some for others with 2 layers of microfiber and 2 layers of good flannel. but that is the only combo i have tried.

i would think you would only want to add one or two extra layers because you are already increasing the absorbancy in the sheer size of the pad (usually they are close to double the size of a reg. pad,) so depending on the fabric you are using cotton i would add 2 layers and maybe play around with mixing up the types- and for hemp and bamboo 1-2 layers extra i would think would be good.

if you are using microfiber i wouldn't do more than 3 layers, i would personally think 2 layers of microfiber along with 2 layers of another fabric would be good.
