I think if you reuse the bags, it isn't too bad. I struggle with this too although most of my meat comes from a processor since we buy 1/4 cow, 1/2 pig, etc. at a time so it's all wrapped in butcher paper. Seems to do well though. I'm finishing the last of some beef we've had for a year.
