There are 4 different kinds of tongue-tie. Most pedis, LCs, and ENTs are not familiar with all 4. However, tongue-tie not only causes difficulties in breastfeeding (pain, poor milk transfer, cause low milk supply, etc.) it can also cause many lifelong health issues for your child (speech difficulties, ear infections, sinus problems, dental problems, reflux, etc.).
