I am an id twin, have id twin first cousins on my moms side, and 2 sets of fraternal twins on my dad's side (gr. grandma had 2 sets back to back). So I guess mine are due to family history. I just turned 34 and have had no fertility issues. I am so tickled bc I knew convincing dh to have a 4th was going to be tricky, and now the decision has been made for us.
