I would think along the lines - make something the moms will like and that the kids will eat too.
Plan a chicken ceasar salad for the moms, with steamed veggies, fruit salad and bread on the side
Then the kids can eat the veggies, fruit, chicken and bread in chunks on their plates. WAY WAY WAY simpler than making toddler/adult meals.
