I got pregnant with DD while nursing DS. He was 2 yrs. and 1 mo. when I got pregnant with her and AF had been back for almost a year. He weaned at 2 yrs. 4 months of age. It IS possible to get pregnant while breastfeeding. You might try ovulation predictors, charting or temping if you want to "know" your body. Sometimes you may ovulate early or really late, you just may not know it. The Dollar Tree sells ovulation sticks for $1 each. They work, it might be worth your investing in to help things along in your favor. Good luck!
