We use Pillsbury pizza crust- the 33% more can. DH makes these so I'll try my best to tell you how he makes them- he is the Italian specialist. He unrolls the dough and divides it in two. On one half of one of the dough pieces he puts the cheese and toppings (no sauce) and then folds it together and seals well.
Bake at 400 degrees for 18 minutes- more or less for your oven. You want the dough to cook through and melt the cheese inside but not burn the bottom of the calzones. He heats sauce- just regular canned spaghetti sauce- on the stove and serves it on the side. Yum! This makes two very large servings! You could probably buy the smaller can of pizza dough for smaller calzones.
