This kinda runs in my family. The worst cases have worn special shoes, or had to sleep wearing shoes nailed to a board. That only lasts several months or a year during early childhood - as they grow things get into the right place. My cousin had it terribly as a baby and was an internationally ranked Irish dancer by the time he was 12. But if its not that bad, they just monitor it. My sister never had treatment and is actually pretty darn pigeon-toed, but she is a very successful competitive gymnast. I would think consulting a chiropractor couldn't hurt anything and they might be able to help. One leg longer than the other can be a sign of the hips being out of alignment (happens to me all the time). So, I think if you keep your eye on it, your LO will turn out just fine!
