Start using chickpeas. Hummus is oh so yummy! Chickpeas are great on salads. I also like to put canned ones on chicken thighs. I put them in the oven and cook them at 350 for 30-60 minutes...however long it takes, with diced tomatoes, garlic, and onion. I drizzle a tiny bit of olive oil over. Very good. Even my meatatarian will eat the chickpeas.
