this actually is not true. Some kids can get immunity after one shot, some don't get it after all three and the periodic boosters.

The repeated shots initially is to "maximize" the effectiveness of the vax. The belief is that repeated and frequent initial exposure will encourage the body to accept the artificial immunity.

and IMO, risking another child getting autism because of the small chance of getting any of the three MMR diseases - that is unnecessary pain. Long linger, life altering pain for your child, and your family.
