My Mom knits alot of mine and we're pretty thrifty. She buys mostly Patton's Merino wool from Joann's or Michael's or even Walmart. Its not as pretty as alot of the wool out there, but it works well, IMO. I love the ease of wool - I never have to tug pants over a diaper or wonder if the pants will fit. Its just two steps- diaper and pants, no diaper, then cover, then pants. It sometimes feels damp after a nap if he wets heavily (he takes a 2-3 hour nap in the afternoon) so I often change him into fleece pants for anap or even *gasp* a sposie LOL but usually during the day the wool doesn't really get it. It might get a tiny bit damp but it dries reallly quickly w/ a dry diaper next to it. It doesn't feel wet on the outside.
