Re: Visitor's after C-section? how long to wait

Both of my babies were a csection in the evening after a failed labor. I was happy not to have visitors u til the next morning. I had a morphine button with my first and a catheter with both, plus the iv. It was nice to have all of that stuff gone and be in a fresh gown before people came. Iwould tell people dh will call after the baby is born and everyone is doing well to let them know what time you will be ready to have visitors. my opinion may be biased though since I was really tired from the failed laor first. A scheduled section may be different. Although it would still give you time with the new baby if you did it my way.

It took about an hour in the recovery room before we were moved to a regular room.
