good for you to get a lawyer, stand up for your rights. I doubt what they are asking for or the policies in the labs are legal. I may be inclined to contact OSHA and let them know what they are doing(in the lab) and see if they will get it inspected.

Maybe they know their lab policies are wrong & that's why they want your medical files, to see if you have a history of going into the dr for illnesses related to improper ventiliation and possibly injuring the baby. avoiding lawsuit before you can file one. They are hoping you'll just hand them over no questions asked, many women would.
