Remember that it gets easier as the 2nd trimester progresses to eat it all. Generally, you won't have room for junkfood at all if you eat all the protein and whole grains, plus veggies and fruits!!!

Also, MAKE SURE YOUR GRAINS ARE WHOLE GRAINS!!! Dr. Brewer himself before he died was concerned women were using his diet incorrectly, focusing only on the protein. I had the pleasure of connecting with him before he died during my 1st pregnancy through my doula. 100% whole grains provide b-Vitamins to keep 'brown mask of pregnancy' at bay, which is very important to mom's overall health.

By 20 weeks I am able to eat all he recommends. I have had 3 amazingly healthy pregnancies, never feeling tired at the end. My ob always teases me he's never seen a pregnant lady with such skinny ankles! It's the protien, doc.
