I would absolutely get this - it's not really a vaccine as the PP said - it provides a layer of immunity and it's only good for 30 days - meaning, you will have to get the shot every 30 days until RSV season is over.

As far as getting the approval my doctors office got that before it was ever given. A nurse did come out to my house to give the shots - again insurance decided how the shots were given (in house, at pedi office, or at a pulmonolgist office).

Also, your neonatologist can send in the recommendation as well - we had our first shot before ever leaving the hospital.
