We picked about 2doz ears last night and have more to come. I want to freeze it on the cob in gallon size bags. I've read several different methods (freezing in the shucks, freezing after shucking, freezing after blanching, etc.) and am not sure which route to go. TIA!

I always cut it off the ear, but I had several coworkers that had success with freezing on the cob after blanching. Pickyourown.org has great tutorials on all sorts of food preservation.

My mom says it can be done by blanching or freezing before shucking just fine but it sure saves a lot of work to just freeze it before

I blanch mine and freeze them in freezer bags.

I throw mine straight into the freezer shuck and all. I don't even put it in bags. Keeps just fine for a long time.
