When bento goes wrong...
I made the kids peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for lunch yesterday, and decided to use the sandwich cut outs. The head on my ds's dinosaur broke off, so I had to send him to school with a headless dinosaur.
I told dh that his teachers are going to totally think I'm sending him message. Like you'd better be good in Kindy or else. LOL. It's like I'm a member of the mob - the Bento mob. See this dinosaur? That's what's gonna happen to you if you bother your neighbor during rest time.

Re: When bento goes wrong...
Those dino cutters are tricky. I was making grilled cheese and was using the cutter. My slice of bread was too small, so the dino's feet were the crust. All my daycare kids wanted to know why the dino's feet were muddy!

Re: When bento goes wrong...
![]() My first bento-ish attempt. I worked with what I had and my kids like. I could get some cutters and decorative stuff and make them cuter, that's for sure, but this is just an example of what uncreative moms can do with regular stuff around the house! That also cost about $3.50 in supplies which is enough to make 4 lunches at a time. I used cut up chicken strip leftovers with brocolli, crackers and grapes. I gave him a small Tupperware snack cup of ranch too. The other one I used the same except he didn't like the chicken so I did PB&J. I only cut off 2 small pcs to get it to fit so not much waste. Also, it can tip completely upside down and everything stays in place. Silicone cups were from the $1 spot at Target for 12 and the containers are Rubbermaid (yes, I sell Tupperware and still use these... LOL) were about $2.39 on sale at CVS!
