Faint positive at 17 DPO, what do you think?
Hi ladies, I'm back again, although hopefully no one remembers me because everyone has moved on with successful pregnancies! Anyway, a brief history, I seem to be able to get pregnant relatively easily, but can't seem to make it past the first trimester. I've had three losses in the past year, and don't have any kids.
But, with my previous pregnancies, I've always gotten BFPs at 12 DPO on the same brand of internet cheapies I'm using now. This month, I was so sick of the whole TTC thing that I didn't test until I was actually late (novel idea) and at 17 DPO, yesterday, I was quite surprised to find a faint line. I also usually have sore boobs around 6DPO, but didn't have that until I was finally late this month. Anyway, here's yesterday's test. So, obviously positive, but much lighter than I'd expect at 17DPO. I tested again this morning, of course, and I guess it might be a little darker, but not much. So basically, I'm going crazy and just wanted to tell someone, because with my history, this is not going to be public news for a while, if ever. My midwife did get me some progesterone suppositories, so I'm doing that and hopefully it will lead to better outcomes, like an actual baby. Anyone get light positives after their period was due and it worked out? Thanks for listening.

I remember you, mama.
That is SUCH a BFP!!!!! Anyway, on to your question... Do you think you could've O'd later than normal? I would think that's what's going on.. Either way, it's completely normal to not have a positive until you're actually late. I hope this is a sticky bean for you, mama.

Re: Faint positive at 17 DPO, what do you think?
Thanks for supporting my craziness.
After much scrutiny of today's stick, I have decided it is sufficiently darker than yesterday's to warrant optimisim. I was worried, since I waited so long to test, that it was going to be a chemical and the lines would fade, but I guess not. Today's Stick: I don't think I ovulated late (I can really tell with the CM method, it's pretty obvious) but who knows? Maybe it implanted late. Maybe it's just a random weirdness. Anyway, merry Christmas!

Re: Faint positive at 17 DPO, what do you think?
That is a wonderfully positive test!! As someone who has had many early chemicals/miscarriages, I understand the fear of seeing those lines get lighter and lighter. However, in your case, the second line is much darker - yay!!
Congratulations, and I wish you the best!!

Praying this little bean sticks for you! Merry xmas to you and your hubs. You said you had several early losses. Does your doc have you on progesterone?

Re: Faint positive at 17 DPO, what do you think?
Definitely positive, and not very faint/light. Those cheapies take a while to get dark....thats a good line for those tests.
Congrats!
