Where do you get your children's books?
Without going broke? I'd love some new ideas.

Goodwill and Value Village, most definitely! DD's bookshelf is full of brand new looking books all for about .99 a piece. sometimes they'll have sales and it'll be .49 a piece.

Re: Where do you get your children's books?
Back in the States we were always buying from Barnes & Noble but I used my 20% educator's discount card. There was also a wonderful used book store nearby that we frequented.
Now we either have to buy from the PX on post, order online, or go to the local thrift store on post. The TS has awesome prices! Children's books are between .25 and .10! They also do bag sales quite often where you can fill up a brown paper grocery sack for $5....that's a ton of books!

Re: Where do you get your children's books?
Look in your phone book for a used book store-- sometimes they are tiny little places tucked away. And goodwill is also a great way to get kids books. And when you go to books stores look in clearance bins almost all books stores have them-- that's how I got DS book for Christmass-- they were only 5.99 a peice.

We get quite a bit from book orders, when teachers send them out.
I order online from Books a Million. They have pretty good prices if you are in their club. My MIL is a 1st grade teacher, and she sends us tons of books. We really have too many, TBH. And some of them are really old and bizarre.

Re: Where do you get your children's books?
I can't be positive, because I don't have kids and haven't joined, but I think that Dolly Parton's Imagination Library (http://www.imaginationlibrary.com/) gives a free book each month to kids that sign up.
