5 weeks and sinus headache

I don't know where my ok meds list is...anyone know off hand about OTC sinus remedies? Would you do them at 5 weeks? I know it's such a vital time to development. Any other suggestions on what to do with this awful stuffed head headache??

Re: 5 weeks and sinus headache

I had what seemed like one big sinus headache for about a month early on in pregnancy. After trying sudafed and tylenol with no relief, my ob recommended dimetapp! Evidently whatever is in there for cough and congestion really helps with sinus stuff. She said to just be sure to get the plain dimetapp, none of the versions with addedd meds. I was probably 10 weeks along by this time, but i would think it would be OK at 5 weeks... HTH!

I just had a horrible cold/sinus infection recently and a warm compress on the face (over eyes, cheeks, & nose) REALLY helped. I also like to use a neti pot a couple times a day. Just some ideas.

My dr said tylonal sinus (not the cold sinus.. just plain sinus) is fine when I was pregnant with both of my last two babies. With my oldest it was just dimatap and tylonal.. dimatap didn't do crap for me.
