I'm so frustrated. Run of bad diaper luck.
Almost two weeks ago, I ordered diapers from a CD store I've been using lately. When I got them, the colors were wrong. So I sent emails; she never responded at all. I gave up and decided to buy the diapers elsewhere and just accept I'd have to keep the ones in the wrong colors. So one week ago, I placed my order at a different online CD store. Then I went on Hyena Cart to buy other items from two stores. Their policies stated they ship in 1-2 days, and the items were in-stock items, not custom. Well, long story short, none of my orders have even shipped. I finally got in touch with the ladies. The cloth diaper store said they didn't have the items I ordered in stock, so they had to order them from the manufacturer, and that they would ship them when they got them. Is this normal? All the stores I usually shop at tell you what is in stock. I'm frustrated that she allowed me to place my order and didn't even tell me she didn't have the stuff until over a week had passed, and even then, only because I asked why my order status was still "Awaiting Fulfillment."
THEN, the two hyena cart ladies got back to me. One was really nice and said she just hadn't seen the order and would send it right out, but of course, she's in Alaska and I'm in Texas, so it will still be a while. The other lady just messaged back and said she would be packaging up the order and sending it out soon. I'm just frustrated. I wouldn't be this upset, but the items were for a gift for another mom, and I needed them by tomorrow. Maybe this is normal and I've just had exceptional service up to now, but I've always received my items within 4-6 days of ordering from other stores like THanks Mama, Little Seedling, Banana Peels, and Cotton Babies. BSRB and PBE always sent my orders right out too. Am I being a little too picky? Last edited by Mommy2Six; 03-18-2011 at 11:43 AM. |

You have every right to be upset. If an item is out of stock it should state such. If it went unnoticed than the store owner should have contacted you right away.
I understand that errors happen because I own an online and retail cd store but if I didn't see someone's order and they had to contact me I would be giving them free shipping. I think that all of the people you complained about should be giving you free shipping. So very sorry mama.

I really hate slow shipping. I also hate when things seem like they are in stock when they actually aren't. Lightning fast shipping and good communication will make me a customer for life. Sorry you are having such bad luck!!

I had a similar disheartening experience recently. I ordered in stock items, didn't receive confirmations on shipping, called and was told they needed to verify my info and my items were waiting to ship. Still no shipping confirmation, a call, and several days later I was told there'd been a mistake and they'd be shipped the next day. Lie after lie. I didn't get the items until a month after ordering. A little research on my end discovered this particular store doesn't have a good track record. That's what's awesome about CD stores - there are plenty to choose from. I'll definitely stick with those who have a reputation for great customer service from here on out!
