This was our boy's name for our daughter (before we knew we had a girl, obviously) for that very reason! I love the name --

but by the time I got a son, it was so very, very popular for girls, people almost don't realize that it started out as a boys' name, and that kind of ruined it for me.

I hate it when people take boys' names and turn them into girls -- to me it's much harder to name a boy, and once that is done, the name seems "ruined" for a boy, and boy mamas choices are even fewer....
