Moving to Colorado Springs
Hello Mamas,
we will be moving to Colorado Springs ( Ft. Carson) . Are there any CD mams out there? Are there any CD stores in the area? How eco friendly is Colorado Springs? What are good areas to look for a house? I have 3 kids. 2,3 and 4. Any playgroups ? I would be happy about ANY info! Cheers! |

Re: Moving to Colorado Springs
There are two CD stores here in the Springs
It's quite a bit more Eco friendly than IL, where I'm from. I see lots of babywearing and know of a few CD mamas here. It's a pretty nice area, aside from the early snow!

I'm loving the snow so far :-) I'm new here, but been in the Springs my whole life. If you're stationed at fort carson, there are some nice neighborhoods the closer to the mountains you get. The southeast part of town tends to be the roughest...welcome and good luck!

Re: Moving to Colorado Springs
Hello from pueblo, co! I'm about 30 mins south of Fort Carson and work there! We are CDing but having issues finding decent daycare on post. I love it here, it is very beautiful!

Re: Moving to Colorado Springs
You are moving ot the only city in CO with a Dunkin Donuts! And you have two! Its very nice in CO Springs and there is a lot of stuff to do. Manitou Springs is pretty cool, too, and you should check it out when you get settled. I'm north in Denver/Littleton, so I don't know all the ins and outs there, but we always take trips down there for day trips. It's very nice, big enough, but not too small, and people are very friendly.

I live in Fountain! We <3 it here. We attend Fusion church. I work at the Fountain Arts Center which has all kind of classes for kids. I always recommend people to.go.to one of the downtown events just to check out "downtown". The St. Pats Parade in the Springs its pretty good!
