Question Can I use just water on my wipes?

I was wondering why people don't use jsut water on their wipes. If there is some reason, like bacteri growth, or mildew problems.........and if i can't use just water, if anyone has a very mild recipe for a wipe solution. I need one without teatree, or lavender, i really would like a fragrance free one. Thanks

i've always just used water. I wet a stack of them in the sink and keep them in the wipe box. I usually do enough for a couple of days. I've never had problems with mildew or stink or anything

This is what we do. I just recycled a baby wipes box.

I just use water too, but no wipe warmer. I just run 1-2 under warm tap water prior to each change. If I want to get fancy I might put some coconut oil on a wipe, but that's about it.

With my first son (7 years ago) I had a wipe warmer and I did a special solution and all... but it was more hassle than it was worth IMO.

Re: Can I use just water on my wipes?

Like many mamas here, we just use water and wet from the sink as needed Occasionally I'll add a drop of Dr. Bronners, but usually not. We had a wipe warmer and used that to keep the water warm (never to store wipes) until it died. We never replaced it.

I do, however, keep a bottle of Kissaluv's diaper potion spray in the diaper bag in case I don't have access to water for an emergency poop I still have 3/4 of the same bottle I bought more than a year ago. It does not get used much!

I just use water, too. I hate the smell of Lavendar.
