Talk to me about the Webster technique
So, just found out this morning that my baby is breech.
I'll be 38 weeks on Thursday. I made an appointment with a chiropractor on Wednesday so that she can try to get the baby turned. Anyone had this technique successful for them? Any risks involved?

Worked for my transverse girl! Just keep at it weekly till the baby drops and there's no chance of them turning again.

Re: Talk to me about the Webster technique
I can't speak personally, but a good friend of mine has had great success w/ it. Her baby was breech (35.5 w), had the webster done and baby flipped that night. a week later, breech again(36.5 w). webster again, flipped again that night!! she's 37.5 weeks now, and baby is still head down and 'ready to go'

Re: Talk to me about the Webster technique
It worked wonders for my posterior baby. His head was low but wasn't positioned correctly so none of the prelabor contractions I was having were dilating me a bit! After two visits to the chiro he DROPPED and I was in full blown labor. The chiro said my round ligaments were so tense that they were keeping him from fulling turning and dropping.

Re: Talk to me about the Webster technique
I used it for my baby who was posterior and just not able to engage. I started going around 36 weeks and went 3x the first and 2nd week then 2 times at 38 weeks. After the 2nd session she dropped right down and settled into my pelvis and turned over to a good anterior position. My round ligaments were also very tight and my pelvis was slightly tipped making it hard on her.

Re: Talk to me about the Webster technique
I'm starting chiro care at 6 weeks and going to continue throughout the entire pregnancy to help baby get into and stay into the correct position.
part of what probably made my induction with DS fail was obviously 1) he wasn't ready 2) he was posterior and 3) I have bad hips that are always out of place, misaligned and need adjusting. It was all just a baaaad combination.

Re: Talk to me about the Webster technique
From my experience, most ladies have to go multiple times to see the effects of the Webster technique, but I see it flip a breech about 80% of the time.

Re: Talk to me about the Webster technique
How soon can you start getting the webster technique done? I'm 29 weeks, and baby is complete breech (bum first, legs crossed like a buddha) and has been for over 3 months and OB has already ordered a c-section cause the chance of her turning are very slim given my physical size and history (I'm only 5 foot 1, and 115 lbs NOW!)...Also, my last 2 babies were preemies (33 and 29 weeks) so I'd like to try and turn her if I can while she's still tiny in case I go early again...

I had prenatal chiropractics starting at 20 weeks with my last baby. When I hit 30 weeks, I was going twice a week to keep the baby and my pelvis in optimal position. It also just makes you feel good too. With this pregnancy I've been going from the start.

Does it correct a transverse, face up baby? I'm 38+ weeks.
