Sweets recipe please! Esp fudge
This year I decided to make a "sweets" tin for all the adults for Christmas. I think it's crazy that we have to buy adults Christmas presents, especially when some of them have 4 kids to buy for!!
I know I definitely want to do fudge. Possibly brownies. Cookies? Cakes? Please, share your recipes! The only requirement is that is has to be able to go into a tin with other things (so something with like a really sticky glaze probably wouldn't work). I have 9 adults to bake for, and I want to fill the tins up really good, so the more recipes the better! Thanks everyone

We like to make chocolate covered pretzels for everybody. There are lots of "shape options" , you can do the small twists, snaps, small sticks or the large rods. When we do the sticks or rods we only coat about 2/3 of them with the chocolate and leave the rest plain like a "handle".
You can shake white sprinkles (nonpareils), other decors, or crushed up candy canes / starlight mints over them while the chocolate is still warm. If you do the rods, place them dipped-side- up in a mug to cool to keep them looking prettier with no flat spots. I usually just use the regular semi-sweet chocolate chips melted in a double boiler or microwave. Stir in a small spoonful of coconut oil if needed. Perhaps 1tsp per 1 c chocolate. My mom and sis make the fudge recipe from the back of the marshmallow fluff container. Don't overlook the fluff mixture or it gets too crumbly. Sent from my iPhone using DS Forum

Ok, I'll post it when I find it. I can't remember where I saved it. I might need to type it up again.

Re: Sweets recipe please! Esp fudge
I know this is old, but I just had to add my two favorites.
Cake Balls: Make a cake Crumble it up with your fingers Add a can of frosting to the crumbs and mix well. Form into balls and refrigerate until hard Dip into chocolate. I made lemon and strawberry balls with cream cheese frosting and dipped in white chocolate. I've also made chocolate ball/chocolate frosting/dipped in chocolate. Banana cake, white frosting, milk chocolate. The possibilities are endless and it is REALLY easy. I also make this chocolate stuff--I don't even know if it has a name. 2 bags milk chocolate chips 1 bag butterscotch chips (about 2 times milk chocolate as butterscotch) salted peanuts (I usually use about two cups ish--actually, I really just eyeball it lol) peanut butter (eyeballing again--maybe 1 1/2 cups or so?) about 2 cups or maybe a half bag of mini marshmallows I really just eyeball the nuts and marshmallows--you want a good distribution of those ingredients throughout the bars. Melt chips and peanut butter in microwave, mix in peanuts and marshmallows. Spread on a cookie sheet and refrigerate until hard then cut into squares. It is SOOOOO yummy and super easy.

Caramels are super easy and can be made in shapes using ikea ice cube trays.
Almond toffee is amazing but a little pricier bc of the butter and almonds. This year I am going to try fancy flavored shortbreads: sage, cardamom, rosemary. I think I will do it by sautéing the spice in the butter and then straining (kind of like pot brownies - not of course that I have ever made those, and I didn't inhale when I did!) I am excited about it. Dh wants me to do a trial run this weekend. I think he just wants to eat hehehe. Sent from my iPad using DS Forum
