The medical bills have started...

So, I received my first bill for this pregnancy, and it's a whopper! I had my first blood labs done at the office right next to my doctor's (I was literally in the same exam room), and it was a lab through a local hospital. Apparently this lab charged my insurance company over $500!!! I was in turn sent a bill for $121... FOR BLOOD WORK! WTH?!
This is a new doctor's office for me. I just do not understand the charge, and will certainly fight it, but what a nuissance! Anyone else have something similar happen?!

I am so sorry for you! What a horrible experience to go through, and then to be served with that! It's absolutely pitiful! I guess I shoudn't complain so much about $121, but it did seem exorbitant...

Good luck to you in fighting back. I'll be thinking of you!
