Getting My Milk Back?

I'm still producing breast milk, but not a lot. My supply dropped when DS was in the hospital with breathing problems. But I really want to try again. Problem is when I offer the breast he using it as a teeth ring and not to eat. I don't know how else to increase my supply. Right now I'm hand pumping but it takes forever to get a meal out.

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can increase my milk supply?

Have you tried fenugreek or other supplements?

Hand pumping will not maintain a supply. You need a hospital grade pump. Contact a Lactation Consultant to help get your baby to the breast.

Agreed! And check with your local health department, they usually lend them out

Re: Getting My Milk Back?

I had a pump from WIC but when we had to start using formula they took it back. I just couldn't get enough out.

I havn't tried suppliments yet. I'll have to look around and see what I can find.
