Question Can't stop sleeping...is too much sleep harmful?

I'm 33 weeks along in my first pregnancy. Since 30 weeks I have become properly exhausted. My iron levels were tested and found to be within acceptable normal range. Basically no matter how much sleep I get, I just want more of it. I'm always tired. I sleep around the clock. The only time I get a burst of energy is in the middle of the night. The rest of the time, I just want to sleep. I literally spend all day in bed sometimes, snoozing away.

I don't know if this is normal or not and it worries me.

Sleep away. Listen to your body. Enjoy it bc you will not likely be able to get so much sleep in other pregnancies.

Definitely normal. You are growing another human being and that takes a lot of energy.. I would snooze during planning periods at work and then come home at 3 and sleep 2-3 hrs then go to bed at 8... just make sure you are eating enough protein.

Sleep, sleep, sleep. It can only help you. Make sure to be eating and drinking enough, too!

just like everyone else has said, sleep will not hurt you unless you are not eating or drinking all day because you are sleeping. DEF make sure you're getting enough water and protien but other than that enjoy the snoozes

I, for one, am envious of your sleep!!! i WOULD sleep like that if i COULD

but i was definitely most tired with my first pregnancy, less tired but still exhausted with #2, and not so bad here with #3. But first time around, i'd sleep 16hours straight. wake up, eat something...then back to sleep for a loooong time. it was nice!!

enjoy it! its normal

Thanks girls...I think I'm just gonna soak it up all I can! From what I hear I won't be getting much sleep after the baby comes! :-)
