This Past Week

I went into labor on my own again, made it to 9 cms & still end up with a c-section. I know the section was necessary since Lili was breech, but everything still feels wrong to me. Since I had, had a UP & was planning a UC I was treated like total garbage from the time we got to the hospital till the time we left. Not that I expected anything less really. I ended up with the OB on call and she was trying to tell me that the only 'safe' way to deliver Lili even if she wasn't breech was laying flat on my back and if I didn't do what SHE wanted then it was refusal of care. I was bullied into every single thing. Don't get me wrong I'm glad everything is ok, but right now this is the hardest thing ever for me to process.

Re: This Past Week

((big hugs)). let yourself vent and then write a concerned email to the hospital customer service dept. about your treatment. It's good for them to know how badly they are coming across and to have accountability for it.

FWIW momma, that MD was jut blowing smoke. Due to EMTALA, a federal law they can not refuse treatment to a woman in active labor. They don't have to like it but they are legally required to care for you. Hang in there. I am so sorry you were treated poorly and I would absolutely write a letter to the hospital administrator.
