Question HCG levels over 350,000 at 6 weeks? Any chance everything is normal?

I am in a panic! My beta levels were 170,000 at 5wks 4days, then 350,000 at 5wks6days. I had a few episodes of bleeding just after 4 weeks, so that is why my family doc ordered the blood work. I had a sono at 5 weeks, and the the said there was only one sac, and she could barley see the blurry smug spot that would be the yoke sack.

I can't go to an ob until my insurance referral goes through, and that will be next Monday at the very earliest.....I am going o go crazy before then!

I am expecting it to be a molar pregnancy...could they have missed that at 5 weeks?

*** has anyone ever had levels this high that resulted in a normal pregnancy?

I have high levels but never that high. Any chance it could be twins?

Oh mama. Those numbers do sound really high. Were you on any fertility drugs or do multiples run in your family? You might want to do a quick scan of www.betabase.info if you know how many DPO you are.

No fertility drugs, All natural. My grandfather had a set of twin brothers, but no other twins any where.
Like I said, I think it was a twin pregnancy, and I think the twin was miscarried...that would explain the bleeding. I just want to to hear from someone who had levels like this. Everyone I talk to says they have never heard of levels this high except in a molar pregnancy.

Can you get into an ultrasound before you see an ob? Can your family doc order it?

My fam doc ordered the one at 5wks, because of the bleeding, and there was one sac, and a subchorionic hemorrage, so they tell me that they can not order a 2nd =( The nurse told me maybe I had my dates wrong, but the gestational sac measured correctly at that first sono, and I and a charter, so I know my dates are right!

I would think that your abnormally high numbers would be reason enough to order another ultrasound!

Totally agreed! Those levels are very high, even for twins.
