Has anyone used Oxyclean on their woolies for stains?

Cause I just did and WOW the stains are GONE! Well they weren't really dark stains but I could see them..and it bugged me!!! I'm just hoping that I didn't ruin them in the process. They are drying now and so far seems fine. Has anyone else done this and what were the results? I tried Dawn, and then a wool wash bar then I figured I would just try and oxyclean soak. A small tub of lukewarm water with about a tablespoon of oxyclean dissolved. Didn't do much scrubbing either. I will post pics soon so you all can see!!!

BEFORE: (these pics were taken in less natural light b/c I couldn't capture the stains well in natural outside lighting)

Interesting. I would be afraid the oxyclean would make some of the dyes bleed. But with solids I would be less concerned.

I usually leave mine in a soak for longer (maybe even switching otu water a few times if I can see the dirty coming off the woolies still) and then I have a solid bar of wool wash for treating spots. but hey if oxyclean works and you have it in the house that is great

yeah I was worried about bleeding too..They didn't seem to, but you're probably right, I think b/c they are solids they are probably fine...

I think I would not have tried this had it been more expensive hand dyed wool!
