I inadvertently bought one of FSOT (didn't realize it was snaps) and I don't like it at all. It really is not nearly as adjustable as the aplix/velcro. Even though there is one crossover snap, it is not placed where I need it to be on my son so either the waist has this big gap, or it's super-tight.
