I was reading this article about a fathers experience when his wife faces delivering 7 weeks early. It's pretty beautiful. I barely made it to 37 weeks as I was diagnosed with extreme cholastsis of the liver at 35 weeks. I was so busy worrying, I dont think I ever really put myself in my husbands shoes.

Anyway, it's a really good read and there are a few good laughs in there too. For those of us that have been there or who are there.

I was also diagnosed with extreme cholestasis of pregnancy and delivered my son at 35 weeks. Better than anyone, I know the itching you experienced. It still makes me shiver to think of it!

That is a terrific article! I just sent it to my husband who told me it was bang on for what he's been feeling (PTL from 28 weeks, delivered Tuesday at 36).

That was a great and well written story. I can't wait for my husband to read that in the morning. We were on bedrest at home but 2 weeks after she was born we were back in the hospital on bedrest for blood clots in my lungs, so it was pretty tough on him.
