How do I cut out the pumping?
DD2 will be 1 at the end of the month and I'm ready to stop pumping. Just not really sure how to do it.
Right now I'm pumping 2x a day at work (9:30ish and 2ish). For the next 2 weeks I will not be able to have my normal 9:30 pumping time. It will be later in the day, like 11 or 12. I'm thinking this is probably the best time to start weaning. I'd go to one pumping session per day for the next 2 weeks, then I could cut out the pumping altogether after that. Will that work? I still plan on nursing in the AM and before bed and maybe keep her late afternoon session for now. I just want to be done pumping at work! |

Re: How do I cut out the pumping?
I was in the same situation and did just what you described - cut down to one pumping session for a while then just stopped. DD still nurses in the a.m., right when I get home at 6 p.m. and before bed. Sometimes on weekends she tries to nurse midday and still seems to be able to get some, despite stopping pumping several months ago.
