Weekly Chat 4/23 - 4/30
Thought I would start our new thread!
We go for our anatomy scan tomorrow evening, I can't wait! I don't think my husband is going to change his mind about not going team green, but I'm getting excited to know what this little one will be now! My husband thinks girl. I don't really have a "feeling" but I keep accidentally saying "he" or "him". This probably means it's another little girl. With our first I was so sure we were having a little boy. My husband said he knew it was a girl, because she told him while they were having one of their chats Daddy was right, and mommy's intuition obviously is no good! We're still not positive on a girls name. My husband made a list of names that he liked, and the only one I liked was Esme. He hates EVERY name I come up with. So we're thinking maybe Esme June, but I'm worried it is going to become so popular with it being in the Twilight movies. My husband didn't even know it was in the movies when he picked it, so he wants to go with it. I'm just not big on really popular names. I'm trying not to think about it a whole lot until we find out for sure what the baby is tomorrow. We're still set on Elliot Day for a boy, just trying to decide if we want to spell it Elliot or Elliott! I hope you all have a great week! |

Re: Weekly Chat 4/23 - 4/30
I'll have my scan in a week and a half. I am totally okay with staying team green, but I think DH might want to find out. We'll see. I've gotten no where with names, but I'm not worrying about it just yet.
School is almost over so I feel like I'll be able to slow down and think about what we really need for the baby. Just two weeks, a week of finals and I'll be finished. Whoo hoo!

Re: Weekly Chat 4/23 - 4/30
I can't wait to see the ultrasound pics!!!! I thought I was 50/50 before we knew this was another boy. Physically this pregnancy was very different, I was super sick, etc so I thought girl maybe. But then all the dates were nearly identical with DS1 so I thought boy maybe. In my heart I knew it was a boy though and I was right.
I think Esme is a beautiful name but I understand the whole movie thing. In the end it doesn't matter, if you love the name you love it. Twilight will eventually fade from peoples' memory and while she'll inevitably deal with the "are yo named after..." crap every name comes with some sort of curiousity/questions to other people. Marvelous, good luck with finishing school!

Oh, I'm the teacher! I look forward to end of school just as much as my students!
![]() I have boy instincts, but who knows? It really doesn't matter since I already have one of each and this will be the last one. Still on the fence about team green or not. I have a week to decide. Congrats to all of those who have found out. Exciting times!

Re: Weekly Chat 4/23 - 4/30
I think Esme is a cute name and not too common, which is always nice... and in 10 or 15 years when she starts to care about her name, I doubt Twilight will still be popular
![]() We had our a/s last week at 18w4d. It was very exciting... we got a super cute picture of her face from the front with her arms up along side her head. It was the first appointment my husband went to also so that was great.
